While the anterior of the object exhibits a smoothness and a clear extension outward—a structure that models both composure and growth—the posterior is a crunched, crumpled, disorganized mass. Scientists have not been able to trace a meaningful pathway from the chaotic rear structuring in relationship to its coherent front. Nevertheless, the import of this object is best—if cheekily—illuminated in this text message exchange from Dr. Wilhelmina Rourke to her colleague, Dr. Justice Tan, at the archeology department of University College London: "The front looks gorgeous, but the back is just a mess.
